Computer Training Opens Employment Opportunities for Correctional Clients
YIIM, Insight Investments Management, and Universitas Bung Karno organized practical computer training to help correctional clients in Central Jakarta enhance skills, self-reliance, and job prospects.

Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management collaborated with Universitas Bung Karno to conduct computer training for correctional clients and former inmates under the guidance of the Central Jakarta Class I Correctional Center (Bapas).
The program was designed to improve basic computer knowledge and practical digital skills, helping participants enhance employment prospects and achieve economic self-reliance following their rehabilitation period. The training introduced essential hardware and software applications while encouraging participants to leverage digital literacy for future employment or micro-business ventures.
The training took place on October 17–18, 2023, at the Bapas Class I Central Jakarta office on Jalan Percetakan Negara VIII No. 54, Rawasari, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of YIIM and Insight, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at Universitas Bung Karno, and the Head of Bapas Class I Central Jakarta.
Academic instructors included Alexius Ulan Bani, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, alongside faculty lecturers Yoga Listi Prambodo and Asruddin. Chrisbiantoro, Chairman of the YIIM Board, emphasized that YIIM and Insight prioritize economic independence and hoped participants could identify computer-based opportunities to pursue.
Alexius Ulan Bani explained that academic responsibility extends beyond university classrooms, noting that learning motivation can flourish in many settings, including computer skill development.
Bambang Maryanto, Head of Bapas Class I Central Jakarta, officially opened the training. He affirmed that collaboration among government, civil society, and academic institutions strengthens the rehabilitation process and provides better reintegration support for clients starting a new chapter in their lives.
Muhammad Isnaeni Setiawan, CSR Coordinator at Insight, expressed pride in supporting correctional clients alongside YIIM, aligning with Insight’s principle that managed investments must generate positive social impact.
This initiative contributes to SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, forming part of Insight’s corporate social and environmental responsibility commitment.
