The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (INSIGHT) are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

, KEBAYORAN BARU – The Corona virus pandemic (Covid-19) has had a major impact on the community’s economy.

In South Jakarta, based on data from the Manpower and Transmigration Department (Nakertrans), 5,410 people were laid off (PHK).

Not only that, as many as 25,112 employees have also been laid off by their respective companies.

Seeing this, the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with its partner PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) contributed to distributing aid to communities affected by Covid-19.

150 basic food packages containing oil, sugar, rice, instant noodles and vitamin C were given to informal workers such as motorcycle taxi drivers and street vendors in a number of areas in Jakarta.

“The spirit of the assistance this time remains the same as the assistance distributed previously, namely helping overcome Covid-19 while also helping the community’s economy,” said YIIM Chairman Chrisbiantoro in his statement, Saturday (25/4/2020).

Apart from that, he continued, YIIM also distributed aid in the form of cloth masks to residents in the Petogogan Subdistrict and Kebayoran Baru Community Health Center.

“In total, no less than 3,000 cloth masks have been given to the public,” he said.

On Thursday (23/4/2020), YIIM through Posyandu Kencana I in Petogogan Village, South Jakarta, distributed aid to a toddler named Kafi.

The 2 year 8 month old toddler suffers from scoliosis or a curvature of the spine which causes difficulty breathing, disrupts food intake and digestion.

“We help provide NGT tubes for feeding aids, digital thermometers, injections and medicine, pampers, milk, and basic food packages for parents,” said Chrisbiantoro.
