Clean-water pipeline assistance in Wonogiri and Ponorogo

To combat severe seasonal drought in karst mountain regions, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management constructed clean water distribution pipelines and storage reservoirs in Wonogiri Regency (Central Java) and Ponorogo Regency (East Java).

During dry seasons, local villagers frequently experienced acute water scarcity, forcing families to purchase expensive commercial water tankers or trek kilometers across rugged terrain to collect murky spring water. The project engineered high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipelines spanning several kilometers from reliable mountain springs to central community water reservoirs.

The new gravity-fed distribution network delivers abundant, potable water directly to village public taps, schools, and health posts, securing reliable year-round water access for hundreds of rural households.

Village leaders praised the infrastructure initiative as a life-changing development that eliminates recurring water crisis burdens and improves rural community health.

This initiative supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 11: Sustainable Communities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Inspiration Greetings!
