, JAKARTA – Closing 2020, the Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investment Management again distributed social assistance to underprivileged residents in remote areas of the archipelago.

The general chairman of YIIM management, Chrisbiantoro, explained that this assistance consisted of masks, basic necessities and vitamins for 100 heads of families on Biak Island, Papua, 100 heads of families in Central Maluku Regency and 100 heads of families in Halmahera, North Maluku.

Apart from that, aid was distributed to 100 heads of families in Kupang and South Middle East (TTS) Regencies, 100 heads of families in Karawang Regency and 100 heads of families in Subang Regency, West Java.

Furthermore, 100 heads of families in Pandeglang and 100 aid packages for performing arts workers affected by Covid-19 in Bekasi Regency, West Java.

“Next, the distribution will follow to 100 heads of families in Kendari, Bengkulu and North Kalimantan,” explained Chrisbiantoro in a written broadcast on Tuesday (29/12/2020).

During December 2020, YIIM also provided business equipment assistance to two alumni of the make-up class training held by YIIM.

Chrisbiantoro expressed the aim so that alumni can develop cosmetology businesses, especially on-call or door-to-door services.

“We are also collaborating with Bung Karno University (UBK), where previously on November 9 2020, UBK provided two scholarships to YIIM entrepreneurship class alumni, namely Human Hazan (barista) and Hermanto (barber),” said Chrisbiantoro.

“As a response, YIIM and PT Insight provided assistance to three outstanding students from UBK in the form of entrepreneurial equipment to strengthen the businesses they had started,” he added.

The grant assistance for business capital equipment to Alfian Haviz (Samsara.pro) was in the form of a laptop with high specifications along with equipment, starting from a laptop fan, mouse, new programming book and website domain.

Along with this, the party also handed over Thea Aprilia (Neochology) in the form of t-shirts of all sizes that had been screen-printed according to the design, greeting cards and bookshelves.

Then, assistance to Rosa Maria Babys, owner of Sorong Tenggiri Fish Balls, in the form of a package of cooking and trading equipment, freezer, meatball cart, table, chairs and raw materials for meatballs.

“The three students’ start-up businesses will later be connected with YIIM entrepreneurship alumni so that they can complement each other in business relationships,” explained Chrisbiantoro.

Furthermore, YIIM also provided business equipment in the form of stoves and cooking equipment for alumni of culinary classes held by YIIM.

These alumni have backgrounds as scavengers, casual workers and small traders under the auspices of the Humanitarian Power Studio in Klender, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

“This program is a continuation of YIIM and Insight’s contribution to supporting sustainable development goals in Indonesia. In particular preventing poverty, preventing hunger and strong cooperation between all parties to advance Indonesia and more specifically overcome the Covid 19 pandemic,” explained Chrisbiantoro.

“YIIM as a non-profit organization is open to collaborating with anyone and accepts donations in any form to be distributed to the right beneficiaries, namely the underprivileged, casual workers, ex-convicts and others,” he added.

For the assistance provided, one of the basic food distribution committee members on Biak Island, Imanuel Rumayom, expressed his gratitude to YIIM and PT Insight Investment Management for the assistance provided.

The reason is, the Biak Legal Aid Institute (LBH) volunteer said that the residents of Biak Island really need basic necessities, masks and vitamins at this time.

The aid package provided consisted of rice, oil, sugar, tea, coffee, instant noodles, vitamins and masks to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 pandemic and at the same time promote a campaign to wear masks for the community.

This assistance was distributed to underprivileged residents in six villages, namely Ambroben Village, Ruar Village, Ibdi Village, Afefbo Village, Saukobye Village, and Pulau Owi Village.

“Thank you for the assistance given to our residents, most of whom come from underprivileged families, small farmers and casual workers as well as the elderly. The community is very happy and grateful, may God always bless you,” said Imanuel Rumayom.

Meanwhile, the representative of PT Insight Investment Management, Dwi Laksmi Anggita Sari expressed her support and gratitude for the social and humanitarian programs carried out with YIIM.

“This is a manifestation of the spirit of bringing investment for better social change,” he explained.
