The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) through the pillar of the Education program with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (INSIGHT) collaborates with the CT ARSA Foundation to hold an education and literacy program with the name “Adventure ARSA-Guard the Earth, Champion Literacy”. This program aims to educate the public about the importance of protecting the environment and encourage changes in people’s behavior that is more environmentally friendly. Apart from that, this activity is a form of INSIGHT’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) to support education in Indonesia.

The ARSA-Guard the Earth, Champion Literacy Adventure, has various series of activities that will be carried out from November to December 2023. The series of activities are scientific and environmental literacy (EDUTRIP), community training and empowerment, an environmental festival in the target area (ECO-FEST KAMAL 2023). The target participants are 50 children assisted by CTARSA Literacy at Kindergarten-Primary level in the Kamal Region, West Jakarta.

On November 22 2023, the ARSA-Guard the Earth, Champion Literacy (EDUTRIP) Adventure was held, located at Sendalu Permaculture, Jl. Friendship No. 67, Sukmajaya, Depok City, West Java. This event was attended by Mr. Gatut Mukti General Manager of CTARSA, Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan as CSR Coordinator of PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), Raihan Zahrah, YIIM Program Executive, and Mr. Gibran, Representative of Sendalu Permaculture. The event was opened directly by Mr. Gatut Mukti, followed by remarks from Mr. Isnaeni.

In his speech, Mr. Isneni said, “In line with the company vision of PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), which is to change investment into social impact. INSIGHT collaborates with the CTARSA Foundation and is supported by YIIM, wanting to provide support and provide investment for the future of the younger students through education about the environment and literacy which is of course fun. We hope that the participating students will be enthusiastic about participating in the activities and hopefully the knowledge they gain will be useful.” After the speech, it was followed by a symbolic handover to Sendalu Permaculture collaborators and representatives of the assisted children.

The ARSA-Guard the Earth, Champion Literacy (EDUTRIP) adventure aims to provide experiences and opportunities for children to learn and explore more about the environment. EDUTRIP activities participants are invited to gain experience learning about plant parts, making fertilizer, caring for plants, using plants and being creative. Participants are directed to go through 5 posts, namely the magic seed post, plant fertilization magic post, fairy water flow post, harvest magic and potion making, creative fairies. At each post the participants were not only given material but also direct practice starting from planting mint plants and also the process of making fertilizer.

After completing the entire series, participants expressed their feelings about the ARSA-Guard the Earth, Champion Literacy (EDUTRIP) Adventure event. Several participants admitted that they felt happy and also gained a lot of new knowledge, especially about caring for plants and protecting the environment. This education program is also in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Number 4 concerning support for quality education, and Number 17 concerning partnerships to achieve goals. YIIM is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people from various circles, founded by social and humanitarian activists. YIIM is also open and open to all forms of cooperation and support from all circles.
