GEMA Digital Inspirasi 2026 Bootcamp Equips Teachers with AI Integration and Interactive Learning Pedagogies

The accelerated advancement of digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents a transformative shift across modern education landscapes. With Generation Alpha students accustomed to highly visual, interactive environments, educators are increasingly called upon to transition from conventional lecture methods toward agile, student-centered techno-pedagogies. Navigating this shift requires teachers to harness technology beyond administrative routines, embedding it meaningfully into interactive, reflective classroom instruction.
Demonstrating active dedication to regional educational equity, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) and INSPIRASI Foundation (Educational Leadership Initiative for Achievement), in close partnership with the West Bandung Regency Education Office and Indramayu Regency Education Office, successfully convened the GEMA DIGITAL INSPIRASI 2026 In-Person Bootcamp (DigiResilience Fellowship). The intensive workshop took place on October 14–15, 2026, at Zest Hotel Sukajadi in Bandung, West Java, following two foundational online sessions held in late September and early October.
Cultivating Digital Change Agents and a Giving Back Culture
The GEMA Digital Inspirasi initiative is structured as a four-month fellowship involving 20 competitively selected teachers across early childhood (PAUD), primary (SD), and junior secondary (SMP) levels in Indramayu and West Bandung Regencies. Far from being a one-off technical training, the program operates as a systemic movement aimed at nurturing grassroots digital change agents across public and private learning institutions.
Anchored in a strong “giving back culture,” fellowship participants are empowered not only to enhance their individual instructional practices, but also to facilitate peer-learning mini-workshops within their respective school communities and regional Teacher Learning Communities (Komunitas Belajar / Kombel).
Interactive Techno-Pedagogies and AI Ethics in Practice
Throughout the two-day in-person workshop, participants engaged in rigorous hands-on sessions led by expert facilitators: Patrya Pratama (Public Policy & Education Reform Specialist from LSE & NUS), Mansyur Ridho (Educational Leadership Specialist and National Digitalization Resource Person for Kemendikdasmen), and Wuri Handayani (Certified ICF Coach and National Guru Penggerak Instructor).
The comprehensive curriculum focused on four foundational competencies:
- Adaptive Leadership Mindset: Strengthening teacher agency, adaptability, and resilience to spearhead technological innovation in educational institutions.
- Interactive Learning Media (MPI) via Canva: Crafting visual, dynamic multimedia materials aligned with contemporary student learning dynamics.
- Generative AI for Lesson Planning: Mastering targeted prompt engineering techniques to develop responsive lesson plans and personalized assessment frameworks.
- Digital Ethics, Data Privacy, and Academic Integrity: Establishing rigorous safeguards for student personal data, fostering anti-hoax critical thinking, and ensuring academic authenticity when utilizing AI tools.
Sustained Mentorship and Tangible Classroom Outcomes
As tangible outcomes of the bootcamp, participating teachers developed initial interactive learning media and AI-assisted lesson modules ready for direct classroom implementation. Over the forthcoming phases, participants will conduct peer dissemination workshops, receive on-site coaching during school-level observation roadshows by expert mentors, and present their action research in a multi-stakeholder reflection symposium in the final month.
This multi-stakeholder partnership exemplifies a shared commitment toward advancing educational quality and supports key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities through equitable digital competency, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
Salam Inspirasi!
