The Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation provided assistance to 100 toddlers affected by flooding in Kampung Melayu Kecil, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta. “We are distributing priority assistance to children under five and the needs of residents in general,” said Chairman of the Indonesia Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM), Chrisbiantoro in a written statement in Jakarta, Monday. YMII held social services in the areas worst affected by the flood, namely RT 04 and RT 03/RW 011 Kampung Melayu Kecil I, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta.

Based on recommendations from the local RT and RW, Crisbiantoro said that 350 heads of families consisting of 800 residents, including 100 toddlers, were flood victims in the area. Crisbiantoro stated that toddlers and residents were vulnerable to disease and threatened with malnutrition after the flood, which had the potential to disrupt public health.

YMII together with PT Insight Investment Management sent aid in the form of baby porridge, diapers, rice, sausages, liquid milk, brewed food, mineral water, medicines, shredded ready-to-eat food and instant noodles transported by two box cars. Head of RT 04, Salam appreciated the assistance provided to toddlers and residents during the recovery period due to the flood.

YIIM is a non-profit organization that operates in the humanitarian sector and movements that inspire Indonesian society.
