, JAKARTA — PT Pertamina Training and Consulting (PTC) is again holding social entrepreneurship training activities and entering its second year of implementation.

After the previous year succeeded in producing more than 30 new entrepreneurs from various fields of entrepreneurial training such as coffee baristas, frozen food and hydroponics.

In accordance with its commitment to community empowerment, through the TJSL program, PTC continues to increase the community’s potential to be active and competitive.

In line with this commitment, coffee barista training, which has become a trend, has been reopened in collaboration with the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM).

This year’s training focused on advanced coffee barista training by inviting 18 alumni from previous year’s training to strengthen their coffee mixing skills.

Implementation of activities is carried out in a hybrid manner. The first meeting was held online via the Zoom application on August 29 2022 and was opened by Olivia Steffina Lasut as Assistant Manager for Corporate Communication & CSR PTC.

On this occasion, Olivia motivated the participants to continue to be enthusiastic about working and fighting for the future.

“This barista training is training that is sought after because coffee is now a lifestyle for Indonesian people who like to consume coffee, so it is an opportunity for friends to study hard and practice it to the maximum,” he said.

Offline training begins with discussion and review of previous training material.

The selection method was implemented to obtain the best candidates as beneficiaries this year by conducting pre and post tests as well as comprehensive evaluations from the trainers to the participants.

After passing the selection stage, 8 alumni were selected and then given offline training at Kedai Kopi Inspirasi, South Jakarta.

In practice, participants are given an understanding and procedures for using manual and machine coffee equipment, explained about the origin of coffee and its types in Indonesia, as well as making latte art directly.

For offline training activities, participants also receive coffee shop management training including calculations for starting a business, determining the cost of product sales, sales and promotion strategies, selecting the right raw materials, and standard operating procedures for coffee shops.

PT Pertamina Training and Consulting supports strengthening social entrepreneurship in society.

By holding advanced coffee barista training, it is hoped that it will provide benefits as part of efforts to recover after the Covid-19 pandemic situation and foster enthusiasm for recovering faster and rising stronger.
