The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (INSIGHT) are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.
, SETIABUDI – To prevent disability due to complications, PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (Insight) together with the Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) held a social activity entitled ‘Early Detection Program for Knee Bones of People with Thalassemia’ at the Mercure Hotel, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.
The activity, which was held for two days, namely 16-17 October 2021, Insght also collaborated with the Indonesian Thalassemia Foundation (YTI), Friends of Indonesian Thalassemia, and the Indonesian Pediatric Radiology Subspecialist Association (PSRAI).
The activity was also attended by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordinator of PT Insight Suluh Tripambudi Rahardjo, Member of the YIIM Board of Trustees DR. Mery T.P. Hutagalung.
Furthermore, YIIM Management Secretary Dewi Astari, Chair of the YTI Board of Trustees Ruswandi, Chair of PSRAI Prof. Dr. Dr. Ristaniah D. Soetikno, M. Kes, Sp. Rad. (K).
Then PSRAI member Dr Damayanti Sekarsari, M.Pd Ked., Sp. Rad (K) and Dr. Tigor Ezekiel Sp. Rad and the examining doctor in this program.
YIIM Program Manager, Ahmad Fanani Rosyidi, said that the aim of the activity was to prevent the risk of disability due to disease complications for people with thalassemia.
In addition, to prevent joint and bone disorders due to long-term deferiprone therapy in people with thalassemia major.
Because it is known that thalassemia is a blood disorder that is passed down from one or both parents to the child, causing sufferers to experience anemia or anemia.
Complaints experienced by sufferers include getting tired quickly, feeling sleepy easily, and even shortness of breath.
