In the midst of the students’ learning activities at the Riyadhul Huffadz Islamic Boarding School, there is a fundamental problem that has long been a common concern: availability of clean water suitable for consumption. Groundwater in the Islamic boarding school area and surrounding villages is polluted and the quality is below hygiene standards. This condition not only hampers daily activities, but also threatens the health of students, teachers, and local residents who depend on the same source for their water needs.

Water is a basic need, but when the quality does not meet health requirements, it can become a source of disease. For the Islamic boarding school environment, which is home to hundreds of students, the lack of access to safe drinking water is a serious challenge that needs to be addressed immediately.

Based on these problems, the Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) supported by PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) collaborated with the Qurani Sejahtera Education Foundation to realize Construction of a Refillable Water Depot at the Riyadhul Huffadz Islamic Boarding School. This program exists as an answer to the urgent need for hygienic drinking water that can be accessed every day.

This initiative not only builds a facility, but also builds a sense of security, health and new hope for the students. With the availability of proper drinking water, students can study, worship and carry out activities more comfortably without worrying about health risks arising from consuming water that does not meet standards.

More than that, this collaboration is a concrete manifestation of YIIM and Insight’s commitment to providing sustainable solutions for communities in need. This program is in line with SDG 6: Access to Clean Water and Adequate Sanitation, and reflects concern for the quality of life of the Islamic boarding school community and surrounding villages.

Hopefully the presence of this refillable water depot will be a small but meaningful step towards creating a healthier environment and a better life for the students.
