The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (INSIGHT) are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

, JAKARTA – The Indonesia Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) together with main partner PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (INSIGHT) are again holding a series of social activities.

With the theme ‘Ramadan Inspiration for Humanity’, PT YIIM and INSIGHT distributed various aid to underprivileged communities and victims of natural disasters in remote areas of the archipelago from 16-26 April 2021.

YIIM Program Manager, Ahmad Fanani Rosyidi conveyed that INSIGHT through social funds provides full support for these social activities.

The aim is to realize the spirit of investment transformation that brings social impact.

“Throughout the month of Ramadan, there will be a series of social and humanitarian activities that will be held by YIIM and INSIGHT. We are very open and open to collaborating with any party to glorify humanity,” he said in a written broadcast on Monday (26/4/2021).

The first series of social activities was held on April 16 2021.

YIIM and INSIGHT together with 24 children from a halfway house in Wamena Papua, under the care of the Anak Panah Halfway House, established a reading garden for children from elementary school (SD) to high school (SMU).

This program is said to be a form of commitment to support literacy in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, namely supporting inclusive and equitable education.

“The assistance provided is in the form of books reading novels, history, folklore and textbooks to support the interest in reading and learning of children in shelter homes,” he explained.

The assistance provided is in the form of basic necessities (rice, eggs, cooking oil, sugar), tools to prevent the corona virus (masks, hand sanitizer, washing soap) and dignity kits (sanitary napkins, toddler diapers, elderly diapers, telon oil, toddler soap).

Furthermore, social assistance for disaster victims in Kupang City and Lembata Regency is in line with SDGs Number 2 to prevent hunger.

For Lembata Regency, aid was distributed to the Refugee Command Post at SMP 1 Nubatukan in Nubatukan District, East Nusa Tenggara.

With a total of 87 families displaced and a total of 309 people.

The assistance provided is in the form of rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, eggs, baby milk, baby diapers (toddlers), elderly diapers, elderly milk, household necessities and vitamins.

Then for Kupang City, aid was distributed in the form of 34 basic food packages for general families, five basic food packages for families with toddlers and 6 families with the elderly for a total of 45 aid packages.

In detail, 45 basic food packages and hygiene kits were distributed to residents spread across the sub-districts of Bakunase, Sikumana, Oepura, Oeba, Fatululi, Kelapa Lima, West Oesapa, Lasiana and Penfui Village and West Kupang in the Kupang Regency area.

The beneficiaries consist of 30 men, 15 women (11 elderly people, 5 toddlers).

KOMPAK Chairman, Ningsi Bunga expressed his gratitude to YIIM and INSIGHT for providing attention to affected residents in Kupang City and Lembata Regency.

“I also express special thanks for the assistance for the elderly, toddlers and people with disabilities,” he added.

Fostered Alumni Also Share

Social assistance in the capital was actually carried out together with a number of alumni from PT YIIM and INSIGHT shaving training.

The barber training alumni held a free shave at the Grand Wijaya Complex Barber Shop, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on April 23 2021.

Hermanto and Gusti, two Barber alumni trained by YIIM and INSIGHT, held a free shave for informal workers and online motorcycle taxi drivers around the barber shop.

“On behalf of my fellow alumni, I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to become a professional barber and can share with the community, especially in this blessed month of Ramadhan,” said Hermanto.

Gusti also said the same thing, he was grateful to be able to share kindness and inspiration with others.

Other social actions were also held by alumni of the culinary classes trained by YIIM and INSIGHT.

They distributed takjil and food to underprivileged communities which was held in Cempaka Putih and Rawa Sari and Tangerang on April 25 2021.

Andini, an alumnus of the culinary class who is also an activist for Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (MSMEs), expressed his gratitude.

The reason is because he and the culinary class alumni can share with others in the holy month of Ramadan.

“Hopefully what we do can inspire many people to continue to do good and care for others,” said Andini.

The series of social activities continued with the handover of aid in the form of 30 Korans and prayer equipment consisting of 25 mukenahs, 50 prayer mats and 25 sarongs and 20 peci to the Hidayatullah orphanage in Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands today, Monday (26/4/2021).
