The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (INSIGHT) are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

On 19 and 20 September 2020, the Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) held a social service in the form of distributing 200 basic food packages, vitamins and masks to 200 heads of families (KK) spread across 19 sub-districts/villages and 9 sub-districts in Kupang Regency and Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The basic food packages distributed consisted of rice, cooking oil, eggs, instant noodles, milk, green beans, sugar, tea and coffee, masks and vitamins. This assistance is distributed as a form of concern to share and ease the burden on the community, especially in that location.

Chrisbiantoro, Chairman of the YIIM Management said, “This activity is a form of our concern to ease the burden on the community, especially during the Covid pandemic. We hope that the community, especially in NTT, will always be healthy and can get through this pandemic.”

This program, he said, is part of YIIM’s work program, namely social and humanitarian assistance, which is one of YIIM’s four major programs, namely community empowerment, environment and education.

Meanwhile, Dwi Laksmi Anggitha Sari, who is usually called Ms. Githa as a representative of PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), expressed her gratitude for holding the event. “We are grateful to be able to share with our brothers and sisters, especially in NTT, hopefully the assistance from PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) can ease the burden on the local community,” he said.

One of them was realized through social assistance distributed during the COVID-19 pandemic from June to September 2020. From June to September 2020, YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) have implemented many social programs to help overcome the Covid 19 pandemic.

Some of the assistance that has been distributed includes 1,000 PPE, disinfectant for places of worship and public places in Jakarta in collaboration with PMI South Jakarta and Baznas, packaged rice and basic necessities for communities spread across Jabodetabek and internet assistance and stationery for teachers and students affected by COVID-19 in Jabodetabek.

The social service event in NTT was coordinated by Aulora Agrava Modok, a social and humanitarian activist from Kupang who has been involved in various social activities for quite a long time. “Residents who received this assistance were very helped, very happy. We hope that more people will pay attention to the fate of small communities, especially in areas far from the National Capital. We hope that this pandemic will pass soon and people will continue to be given health,” he explained.

Through this synergy and initiative, the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) hopes that the programs implemented can provide real benefits, open up wider opportunities for independence for participants, and actively contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
