Regarding this, YIIM said it provided educational assistance to teachers and students of the Anglo National Christian Primary School (SDKN) on Jalan Rawasari Selatan Number 10X, RT 15/09, Rawasari, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.

Apart from that, aid was also distributed to the Sayap Ibu Orphanage Foundation which is located on Jalan Barito II Number 55 Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

“The aid will be distributed in stages, in the first stage to 16 Anglo National Christian Elementary School teachers, in the form of an internet quota, each teacher will receive assistance of IDR 200,000,” said Chrisniantoro.

He said this assistance was very important, because teachers teach online for a minimum of 24 hours and a maximum of 32 hours a week.

The teaching and learning method is said to be very dependent on internet quota, while school funding conditions are currently very limited.

Apart from the internet quota, YIIM also provided the first stage of stationery assistance for students at Anglo National Christian Elementary School and the Sayap Ibu Orphanage Foundation.

At the same time, his party also provided 100 reading books, consisting of reading folk legends, personality formation and science books for all children at the Wing Ibu Orphanage.

“The world of education is currently one of the sectors most affected by the spread of COVID-19,” said Chrisbiantoro.

“Therefore, let’s make this year’s Education Day our moment to ensure that learning and teaching activities continue to run optimally even though they have to be carried out remotely, without hampering and limiting the transfer of knowledge and insight from teachers to their students,” he added.

Chrisbiantoro hopes that the distribution of aid can inspire benefactors to carry out similar social actions.

Because, he said, educational assistance is now very much needed.

Chrisbiantoro said this because education is the nation’s main investment in the future.

“Education is the main investment for Indonesia’s dream of progress,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Principal of the Anglo Martha National SDK School expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided.

Because he admitted, the school had never imagined or planned that a school-from-home teaching system would be implemented.

Therefore, schools have not prepared a budget for teaching or learning mechanisms from home since the beginning of the school year.

“Even we at the school cannot provide internet facilities for teachers or for children to undergo this kind of learning system,” said Martha.

“This condition has created a new polemic for teachers whose economic status tends to be lower middle class but they believe that their students still have to study even from home,” he added.

Representatives of the Mother’s Wings Orphanage Foundation, Lily, also conveyed similar things.

Lily expressed her gratitude to YIIM and Insight Investments Management for providing care to the children in their care by providing stationery packages and 100 reading books.

“School from home is something new for our orphanage children, but with the assistance of stationery packages and reading books from YIIM, it will really help the children get through this pandemic,” said Lily.

On the same occasion, PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) Representative Budy Cahaya said that the world of education must survive.

“Even though the world is being hit by the COVID-19 outbreak which has paralyzed various economic and social sectors in society, the education sector must continue to be well implemented,” said Budy Cahaya.

“In order to educate the nation’s children who have an important role in developing Indonesia in the future,” he concluded.
