Vocational technical skills must be coupled with robust financial literacy and business management acumen to enable training graduates to establish thriving, sustainable micro-enterprises.

Following its successful vocational training batches in manual screen printing, barista brewing, and barbershop styling, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun / YIIM), backed by PT Insight Investments Management, conducted an Integrated Entrepreneurship Masterclass on Thursday, 7 November 2019, in South Jakarta.

The masterclass gathered dozens of YIIM alumni across multiple vocational cohorts. Participants received practical instruction in cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) calculation, business model canvas drafting, micro-cash flow management, social media digital marketing, and customer service excellence.

Through this business incubation initiative, YIIM and Insight aim to provide continuous mentoring, foster collaborative business cooperatives among alumni, and stimulate new employment generation within the informal economy.

This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
