Support for Apatte62 Advances Energy-Efficient Vehicle Innovation
YIIM and Insight Investments Management supported Universitas Brawijaya’s Apatte62 team in developing lower-emission vehicles and competing successfully in Indonesia’s 2025 Energy-Efficient Car Contest.

Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management, assisted the Apatte62 research team at Universitas Brawijaya through its environmental-conservation pathway. The support advanced research and development of energy-efficient vehicles using environmentally responsible fuels to reduce emissions that contribute to global warming.
In 2025, Apatte62 participated in the Energy-Efficient Car Contest, KMHE, organized by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs under Indonesia’s Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
The national competition was designed to strengthen students’ skills, creativity, and innovation in designing, developing, and constructing energy-efficient vehicles.
On 23 October 2025, a 25-person delegation departed for KMHE. The group comprised the core engineering team, media team, support team, and supervising lecturers.
Apatte62 achieved two second-place finishes. Apatte62 Brawijaya Team 2 placed second in the Prototype Internal Combustion Engine Diesel category, while Apatte62 Brawijaya Team 1 placed second in the Urban Concept Internal Combustion Engine Petrol category.
The results demonstrated students’ ability to turn research into competitive vehicle technology and provided practical experience in teamwork, engineering, testing, and innovation.
The program formed part of Insight’s corporate social and environmental responsibility commitment to research and environmentally responsible technology. It contributes to SDG 13: Climate Action by encouraging innovation intended to reduce energy consumption and vehicle emissions.
Salam Inspirasi!
