Emergency Food Relief and Vitamin Supplements Distribution in North Lombok
YIIM, supported by PT Insight Investments Management, distributed 100 relief packages containing basic groceries, multivitamins, and medical masks to underprivileged families in Sigar Penjalin and Sigerongan villages, North Lombok.

On October 16, 2020, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management, distributed 100 relief packages containing staple groceries, immune-boosting vitamins, and protective masks to residents in Sigar Penjalin Village and Sigerongan Village, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province.
This initiative formed part of YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management’s nationwide social outreach to support Covid-19-impacted communities that had minimal access to formal social relief. The selected beneficiaries included victims of recent localized fires, smallholder rural farmers, vulnerable casual laborers, and individuals affected by corporate layoffs (PHK).
The local distribution was facilitated by dedicated local social activist Abdul Kasim, an anti-corruption campaigner who previously served with the civil society organization Somasi (Solidarity of Society for Transparency) in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara.
During the distribution, Abdul Kasim remarked: "This aid brings immediate, tangible relief to our community amidst the severe hardships of the Covid-19 pandemic. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to YIIM and PT Insight for their sincere care for the people of West Nusa Tenggara, especially in North Lombok."
This social intervention is closely aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger and Improved Nutrition. Ensuring access to nutritious food is paramount, as the pandemic heightened the risk of food insecurity and malnutrition at a time when families needed strong bodily immunity sustained by adequate nourishment and vitamins.
The distributed packages contained household staples including rice, cooking oil, granulated sugar, tea, instant noodles, and biscuits, complemented by protective face masks and multivitamin supplements.
Satoto Biratmoko, representing YIIM’s executive board, noted: "This support is of great practical value. Although consisting of 100 packages, it represents our enduring commitment as responsible civic actors to demonstrate empathy and support for our fellow citizens during these trying times."
YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management remain steadfast in ensuring that all humanitarian assistance directly reaches well-verified, highly deserving households. This ethos mirrors PT Insight’s core philosophy of directing investments to generate meaningful and measurable social impact.
Field distribution across the two remote villages encountered minor logistical obstacles, including lengthy overland transit from the urban center and temporary power outages during handover operations, yet every package was successfully and securely delivered to the beneficiaries.
