Nutritious Food Packages, Mung Beans, and Health Supplies Distribution in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara
YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management distributed 200 relief packages of staple food, multivitamins, and medical masks to 200 households affected by Covid-19 across Kupang Regency and Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara.

On September 19–20, 2020, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), in collaboration with PT Insight Investments Management, organized a humanitarian social service initiative by distributing 200 basic food packages (sembako), vitamins, and protective masks to 200 families spread across 19 urban sub-districts/villages and 9 sub-districts in Kupang Regency and Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province.
The distributed food packages comprised rice, cooking oil, eggs, instant noodles, milk, mung beans, sugar, tea, coffee, masks, and essential vitamins.
This relief assistance was delivered as a concrete manifestation of solidarity to share and alleviate the socioeconomic burden borne by communities, particularly in the Kupang region.
Chairman of the YIIM Board of Management, Chrisbiantoro, remarked, “This activity is a testament to our genuine care in helping ease the burden on society, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. May the people, especially across East Nusa Tenggara, remain healthy and persevere through this pandemic.”
This initiative falls under YIIM’s social and humanitarian relief pillar, complementing the foundation’s four core programmatic pillars: community empowerment, environmental conservation, social and humanitarian assistance, and education.
Meanwhile, representing PT Insight Investments Management, Dwi Laksmi Anggitha Sari—warmly known as Githa—expressed profound gratitude for the successful execution of the initiative. “We are grateful to be able to share with our brothers and sisters, especially in NTT. We hope this assistance from PT Insight Investments Management brings meaningful relief to the local community,” Githa expressed.
As an investment management firm, PT Insight Investments Management upholds a deep commitment to addressing various social and humanitarian challenges, adhering to the company motto: “Transforming Investment into Social Impact.” This commitment was actively realized through widespread relief efforts extended throughout the pandemic between June and September 2020.
From June through September 2020, YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management carried out numerous social aid programs to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. Prior initiatives included the distribution of 1,000 sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), disinfection operations for houses of worship and public facilities in Jakarta in partnership with PMI South Jakarta and BAZNAS, food pack and staple food distributions across Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek), as well as internet quota and stationery support for impacted teachers and students in Jabodetabek.
The social action in NTT was coordinated on the ground by Aulora Agrava Modok, a dedicated humanitarian activist from Kupang with extensive grassroots experience. Modok, affectionately called Ola, noted, “The local residents receiving this assistance feel greatly relieved and very delighted. We hope more parties will pay close attention to the plight of vulnerable communities, especially in areas far from the national capital. We hope this pandemic passes swiftly and our communities remain blessed with good health.”
