Clean Water Well Improves Dry Season Resilience in Bulukumba
A 40-meter deep well and a 5,000-liter storage tank now provide a reliable water supply for students, teachers, and nearby residents in Sopa Village.

Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), through its Social, Humanitarian, and Religious program supported by PT Insight Investments Management, constructed a clean water borehole well for Pondok Pesantren Riyadhul Huffadz in Sopa Village, Kindang District, Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi.
The boarding school and surrounding villagers previously endured severe water shortages during the dry season, relying on seasonal water sources that often dried up.
The project, completed between March 5 and 20, 2024, drilled a 40-meter deep well, installed a submersible water pump, erected a 5,000-liter storage tank, and laid distribution pipes to the boarding school dormitories and sanitation facilities.
The new infrastructure now guarantees a continuous supply of clean water for students, teachers, and local villagers, ensuring hygienic sanitation and preventing dry-season water crises.
This project contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.
Inspiration Greetings!
