Inclusive Pastry and Baking Training Prepares 12 Micro-Entrepreneurs
Twelve aspiring women entrepreneurs and persons with disabilities completed professional pastry and cookie-making training with business starter kits to launch home bakeries.

The Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management held a specialized Practical Pastry and Cookie Baking Training program in Jakarta, preparing 12 participants to launch commercial home-baking businesses.
The comprehensive three-day training program provided in-depth instruction on ingredient formulation, dough lamination, oven temperature control, commercial cookie recipes (such as nastar, kastengel, and putri salju), food safety regulations, and attractive packaging design for festive retail.
To ensure sustainable business launch, every participant was awarded a business startup kit comprising commercial electric hand mixers, baking pans, scales, cookie cutters, and premium food-grade packaging materials.
A trainee who is a person with a hearing disability shared her excitement, stating that the clear visual demonstrations and supportive instructors allowed her to master professional baking techniques and start taking pre-orders ahead of the holiday season.
Through practical vocational training and enterprise incubation, YIIM and Insight empower marginalized communities to build sustainable livelihoods, contributing to SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
Inspiration Greetings!
