YIIM Distributes 500 Premium Avocado Seedlings to Support Citarum Watershed Conservation and Community Economics
YIIM and Insight handed over 500 premium avocado saplings in Kebon Cau Village to protect the Citarum river basin while building long-term farmer income.

The Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management distributed 500 premium grafted avocado tree seedlings to farming families in Kebon Cau Village, Telukjambe Barat, Karawang Regency, West Java.
Located along the critical Citarum River watershed, the village requires sustainable agroforestry solutions to prevent soil erosion, stabilize riverbanks, and enhance ground water absorption during monsoon seasons. Premium avocado trees (Alpukat Aligator and Miki varieties) were selected for their deep root systems that secure topsoil, combined with their high commercial market yield.
In addition to receiving seedlings, farmers participated in technical agronomy workshops on organic fertilization, organic pest management, pruning, and fruit canopy management to maximize harvest productivity.
Village leaders praised the agroforestry initiative as an exemplary model that harmonizes ecological river basin conservation with high-value agricultural income generation for rural households.
This program directly advances SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
Inspiration Greetings!
