The Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management conducted an Intensive Creative Craft and Patchwork Upcycling Entrepreneurship Training for dozens of women and homemakers from economically vulnerable neighborhoods in Greater Jakarta.

The program was structured to transform discarded textile remnants (kain perca) into premium, commercially viable lifestyle products—such as tote bags, cushion covers, pencil cases, and decorative home accessories—combining creative economic empowerment with environmental waste reduction.

Participants received in-depth instruction from veteran craft designers on color coordination, geometric pattern cutting, industrial sewing machine operation, and quality finishing. To ensure long-term business launch, YIIM provided participants with heavy-duty sewing machines, craft toolkits, and starter fabric bundles.

The training also incorporated practical modules on costing, digital marketplace selling, and craft product photography, empowering participants to establish sustainable home-based businesses while caring for their families.

This initiative directly supports SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Inspiration Greetings!
