JAKARTA. The Indonesian Inspiration Development Foundation (Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun / YIIM) consistently fosters the emergence of new entrepreneurs grounded in local community potential through free vocational training initiatives, including the Baking Class Training Batch 3 held at the YIIM office in Jakarta on September 7, 2019.

The training was attended by 20 enthusiastic participants from various areas across Jakarta and surrounding districts with a strong aspiration to start independent culinary enterprises. In this third batch, participants learned practical recipes and preparation methods for popular dimsum delicacies, including soft steamed buns (bakpao) and savory siomay dumplings. Professional culinary instructor Chef Azizah delivered comprehensive classroom theory followed by hands-on culinary practice, covering quality ingredient selection, dough making techniques, and commercial presentation methods.

Demonstrating its commitment to sustainable community mentoring, the event also featured the handover of a business grant and supporting equipment to an alumnus of Baking Class Batch 2, Mrs. Sri Suharti. Utilizing the vocational skills acquired from YIIM previous training, Mrs. Sri has successfully established an independent homemade donut business to support her household livelihood.

This initiative directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education) through practical vocational learning, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by promoting self-reliant entrepreneurship, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) to expand community economic empowerment.
