In a spirit of sharing and social care, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM) together with Insight Investments Management again carried out the Gempita Imlek series of activities as part of its socio-religious pillar. This pillar aims to contribute to the celebration of religious holidays in Indonesia, while presenting meaningful spaces for togetherness for communities in need.

The Gempita Imlek activity was held on Saturday, 7 February, at LPA Guna Nanda, located at Jl. Tambun Rengas RT 12 RW 01, Kelurahan Cakung Timur, Kecamatan Cakung, East Jakarta. LPA Guna Nanda currently shelters 38 children ranging in age from 2 to 27 years old, who come from various life backgrounds. Among them, there are 6 children with disabilities who also receive assistance and care at the institution.

On this occasion, YIIM distributed groceries as a form of support for the daily needs of the children under the institution’s care.

Not only focused on providing material assistance, Gempita Imlek was also designed as a space for reflection and emotional strengthening. YIIM invited the children to reflect by sharing their hopes and participating in storytelling sessions. The children wrote down their hopes—about themselves, their future, and the dreams they want to achieve—which were then placed on a Hope Tree as a symbol of motivation and a reminder of the life goals they want to reach.

Through this sharing session, the children were encouraged to listen to and strengthen one another. This activity is part of an effort to strengthen a peer support group, so that a supportive, empathetic, and trusting environment is created among the children.

Through Gempita Imlek, YIIM believes that care is not only realized through material assistance, but also through presence, attention, and a safe space to nurture hope. This activity is expected to have a positive impact and be a small step in supporting the growth and development of children toward a better future.

Salam Inspirasi!
