The flood disaster that has recently affected several areas on the island of Sumatra has had a significant impact on people’s lives. High rainfall causing river overflow has led to the inundation of residential areas, disruption of daily activities, and limited access to basic needs such as food and hygiene. One of the affected areas is Dusun Setia, Kesehatan Village, Aceh Tamiang Regency.

In response to this situation, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun, supported by PT. Insight Invesments Management, provided humanitarian aid in the form of food logistics and hygiene supplies distributed to flood-affected communities in Dusun Setia. The aid distribution was carried out on Friday, December 19, 2025, as part of emergency response efforts to help alleviate the burden on residents post-disaster.

The distribution of aid was carried out with the assistance of Basecamp Solidaritas Indonesia as the on-the-ground distribution partner. The aid was delivered to the residence of Mrs. Iyet, a local resident known as a local hero for having previously housed and helped around 30–50 people in her home during a past flood event. As Mrs. Iyet is currently taking refuge in Paya Bedi Village, the aid was received directly by Mr. Jamil, her younger brother.

The aid distributed consisted of food logistics needs and cleaning supplies intended to support the fulfillment of basic needs for the community during the early recovery period. Distribution was carried out in coordination with volunteers and local figures to ensure the aid could be received accurately and precisely.

Through this aid distribution, it is hoped that the community of Dusun Setia can obtain the support needed to survive and recover from the impacts of the disaster. This humanitarian effort serves as a reminder of the importance of solidarity and shared care in facing emergency situations, especially for communities in disaster-prone areas.
