Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), distributed essential food aid packages (sembako) to women members mentored by the Inong Carong Aceh community in Darul Kamal District, Aceh Besar Regency, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province, on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

This humanitarian initiative formed an integral component of the “Tebar Inspirasi di Bulan Suci Ramadhan” (Spreading Inspiration in the Holy Month of Ramadan) outreach campaign organized by YIIM and PT INSIGHT. The relief effort directly advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2: Zero Hunger and Food Security.

Inong Carong Aceh is a grassroots women’s community forum that unites female heads of households, single mothers from underprivileged families, and elderly widows. In their daily lives, these resilient women shoulder a demanding dual role: tirelessly earning an honest livelihood while maintaining the well-being of their households.

The distributed relief comprised 70 comprehensive grocery parcels containing premium rice, sugar, fresh eggs, instant noodles, cooking oil, and bath soap. The assistance was distributed directly by the leadership of Inong Carong Aceh to 70 women beneficiaries residing across four villages (gampong)—namely Gampong Lamsod, Empetrieng, Lamtadok, and Lamkunyet—within Darul Kamal District, Aceh Besar.

Commenting on the initiative, Chrisbiantoro, Chairman of the Board of YIIM, remarked: “To embrace the blessings of Ramadan 2023, YIIM and PT INSIGHT organized this essential grocery distribution for vulnerable families in geographically underserved areas of Aceh Besar Regency, in close collaboration with the local community partner Inong Carong Aceh. We hope this assistance eases the burden of basic food needs for female heads of households in this region.”

Echoing this sentiment, Isnaeni Setiawan, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordinator of PT Insight Investments Management, affirmed: “Distributing food parcels to Inong Carong Aceh members reflects the social action ethos that PT INSIGHT champions throughout Ramadan, perfectly aligned with our company tagline, ‘Transforming Investments Into Social Impact.’ We encourage investors to grow their wealth while actively sharing benefits with society. We hope this support bolsters the food security of underprivileged residents in Aceh Besar ahead of Eid al-Fitr.”

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the leaders and staff of Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun and PT INSIGHT for their steadfast compassion toward the underprivileged women we guide.”

Throughout Ramadan 2023, the “Tebar Inspirasi di Bulan Suci Ramadhan” campaign led by YIIM and PT INSIGHT spanned numerous locations across Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek)—including DKI Jakarta, Depok, Bekasi City and Regency, Bogor Regency, and South Tangerang—as well as Aceh Province. The wide-ranging interventions included iftar meal distributions, takjil snacks, orphan allowances, food hampers, prayer equipment, free air conditioning cleaning and maintenance for mosques and orphanages, and free haircuts for underprivileged citizens.
