On Monday, January 23, 2023, Universitas Bahauddin Mudhary Madura (UNIBA Madura) marked an inaugural milestone by convening its First Graduation Ceremony for 98 graduates of the pioneering inaugural cohort. The commencement exercises took place at Campaka Hall, within the UNIBA Madura Campus Complex on Jl. Raya Lenteng No. 10, Batuan, Sumenep Regency, East Java Province.

The academic convocation was attended by the Chairman of Yayasan Qudsiyah Bahaudin Mudhary, Prof. Dr. Achsanul Qosasi, CSFA., CFrA.; the Regent of Sumenep, Ra Achmad Fauzi, S.H., M.H.; the Vice Regent of Sumenep, Hj. Dewi Khalifah, S.H., M.H., M.Pd.I.; and university institutional partners. Among the honored guests was Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), represented by Program Manager Achmad Fanani Rosyidi.

Among the 98 graduating students, 10 graduates were scholars under the Inspirasi Scholarship Program sponsored by YIIM in partnership with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT). Of these 10 scholars, eight belonged to the 2018 cohort and two to the 2019 cohort. In total, the joint scholarship scheme established by YIIM and PT INSIGHT at UNIBA Madura has empowered 50 talented students from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds.

Following the graduation ceremony, YIIM convened a monitoring and silaturahmi session with 16 YIIM-INSIGHT scholarship recipients. The session served to evaluate academic achievements, track educational progress, and explore prospective social collaborative initiatives with scholars.

Opening the gathering, YIIM Program Manager Achmad Fanani Rosyidi extended his congratulations: "First and foremost, I offer my congratulations to the academic community of UNIBA Madura on the successful hosting of its inaugural graduation. Our warm congratulations go out to all graduating students, particularly our scholarship recipients who have earned their bachelor's degrees. For our continuing scholars still completing their coursework, keep cultivating your academic capacities and aim for optimal excellence. YIIM is steadfastly dedicated to facilitating your ongoing personal and intellectual development."

Representing the graduating scholarship recipients, Bukhairi (Class of 2018) voiced his profound gratitude: "I express my heartfelt gratitude to YIIM and PT INSIGHT for providing me with the scholarship that enabled me to complete my undergraduate (Strata-1) education and graduate with a bachelor's degree. May YIIM and PT INSIGHT continue to prosper and deliver exemplary contributions to the youth and future of our nation."

This higher education scholarship initiative directly contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, dedicated to ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and fostering lifelong learning opportunities for all.
