PT Pertamina Training and Consulting (PTC), in collaboration with the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), handed over entrepreneurial assistance to alumni of the Social Entrepreneurship Training on Monday, October 24, 2022, at the HB Jassin Library Hall, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Cikini, Central Jakarta.

This program is part of a series of PTC social entrepreneurship training programs in collaboration with YIIM, covering coffee barista training for friends with disabilities, coffee barista training for the general public, hydroponics training, and frozen food culinary training. The total number of participants, both offline and online, included: 24 participants in the Barista for the General Public program, 54 participants in the Barista Coffee for Friends with Disabilities program, 19 participants in the Hydroponics Training program, and 25 participants in the Frozen Food Training program. This is the second year of the training program, with the previous program having been held in 2021.

The entrepreneurial assistance handover ceremony was attended directly by Mr. Teuku Mirasfi as President Director of PTC, Ms. Fajriyah Usman as VP CSR & SMEPP of PT Pertamina (Persero), and Ms. Fitri as Finance Director of PTC. Also present were Mr. Chrisbiantoro as Chair of the YIIM Board, along with YIIM management and staff, and 16 recipients of entrepreneurial assistance. The recipients consisted of 4 participants each from the barista coffee training for people with disabilities, the general public, hydroponics, and frozen food culinary training.

This social entrepreneurial assistance was handed over symbolically by Mr. Teuku Mirasfi and Mr. Chrisbiantoro to the recipients.

In his speech, Mr. Teuku Mirasfi stated, “The program that PTC has been running since 2021 has produced dozens of new entrepreneurs who have been able to build independent businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. This program is in line with the vision and mission of PTC’s TJSL program and is a manifestation of our commitment and social responsibility in efforts to improve the quality of life of the community. PTC will continue to develop this program as a flagship program to achieve the goal of ‘no one left behind,’ which aligns with the vision of realizing the standards of the Sustainable Development Goals and a form of support for SDG implementation within the Pertamina Group. PTC together with YIIM has provided training to 1,200 people, both online and offline, consisting of frozen food training, hydroponics, general coffee barista training, and barista training for friends with disabilities.”

Finally, he congratulated and thanked the participants who had taken part in the series of training, both online and offline, which they went through in a rigorous and enthusiastic selection process. He also congratulated the recipients of social entrepreneurial assistance, encouraging them to keep up their enthusiasm in starting their businesses. He also said, “Thank you to YIIM for the excellent collaboration and for being focused on monitoring the developments of all beneficiaries of this social entrepreneurship program.”

Next, Fajriyah Usman, VP CSR & SMEPP of PT Pertamina (Persero), delivered a speech, stating, “This program is excellent and in keeping with the spirit that no one is left behind. PTC, as part of the extended family of PT Pertamina (Persero), is highly consistent in empowering MSMEs, and these alumni will become Pertamina’s fostered partners.”

Finally, the Chair of the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), on the same occasion, delivered a speech as well as a progress report on the beneficiaries. In his speech, he stated, “This social entrepreneurship training program attracted a great deal of interest. In the first year, there were 1,200 applicants who wanted to join the training, both online and offline, when we opened public registration, which we then carried out through webinar methods. The high enthusiasm and interest in this program were very evident, so in this second year, we developed this social entrepreneurship training program by collaborating with community partners, such as the deaf community, the physically disabled community, and assisted residents.”

This program is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the increasing number of successful and empowered MSMEs will have a very positive impact on the national economy.
