On June 2, 2022, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), supported by its main partner PT. Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), organized a social activity involving free health check-ups and vitamin distribution, as well as assistance of books and learning equipment for the residents of Praikilimbatu and Kambatana villages, Waingapu, East Nusa Tenggara.

YIIM and INSIGHT provided direct assistance to representatives of both villages. The aid consisted of 250 packages of medicines, 250 packages of vitamins, 2 sets of cholesterol testing devices, 10 sets of cholesterol test strips, 10 sets of blood sugar test strips, 10 sets of uric acid test strips, and 2 packages of lancet needles. The educational assistance provided included more than 50 reading books and 250 goodie bags containing milk, snacks, and stationery.

The reading books and stationery packages were given to SDN Palindi in Kambatana Village and Paud Pintar in Praikilimbatu Village, Pandawai District, NTT. Paud Pintar is an early childhood education center founded through the self-help efforts of local residents to support the education of children in Praikilimbatu Village.

At the same time, YIIM and INSIGHT provided health assistance in the form of free health check-ups and free medicines for the residents of Praikilimbatu Village. The health examinations were conducted by Sumba Volunteer, including blood sugar, uric acid, and cholesterol tests, as well as blood pressure measurements. INSIGHT and YIIM also provided medicines for residents who required them based on the examination results, as well as vitamins for the community.

It is hoped that through this assistance, residents can monitor their health conditions and fulfill their needs for medication and vitamins to achieve good and quality health.

This assistance represents a form of corporate social responsibility. INSIGHT partnered with YIIM to support literacy awareness for children in the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) region and to improve the quality of community health. This event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda number 3 on good health and well-being, number 4 on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education, and number 17 on partnerships to achieve shared goals.

During the event, Dewi Astari stated, “The synergy between the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation together with PT Insight Investments Management and Sumba Volunteer in today’s event is expected to have brought benefits to the residents of Praikilimbatu and Kambatana Villages. This program is a manifestation of care for the health and education of the community, in line with SDG programs 3, 4, and 17. May today’s activities inspire other parties to participate in improving the quality of health and education for the residents of Praikilimbatu and Kambatana Villages, Waingapu.”

Village representatives expressed their gratitude for the care shown by YIIM and INSIGHT towards education and health for the people of NTT. The assistance provided was highly needed and beneficial for the children and residents of Praikilimbatu and Kambatana Villages.

The Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation, as a non-profit organization, is open to all parties who wish to support or make donations in any form. Thus, more components of the nation can become involved in improving the literacy of Indonesian children.

Salam Inspirasi!
