Pelatihan Bogasari Inspirasi

JAKARTA. The Indonesian Inspiration Development Foundation (Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun / YIIM) in collaboration with the Bogasari Baking Center (BBC) of PT Bogasari Flour Mills organized a vocational culinary training program focusing on flour-based pastries and snacks. This initiative was designed as a tangible community empowerment effort to cultivate independent business opportunities and strengthen household financial resilience.

This training was organized in response to high enthusiasm and requests from participants of previous YIIM programs who expressed a strong desire for practical culinary skills training. Recognizing the vast economic potential of the bakery and culinary industry in Indonesia, YIIM bridged this need by providing accessible, high-standard training for community members and home bakers eager to build culinary businesses but constrained by training costs.

The intensive program ran across three consecutive days with a total of 59 participants. Each day, attendees were directly mentored by professional chefs and instructors from the Bogasari Baking Center in comprehensive six-hour hands-on sessions. The training curriculum covered techniques for producing white bread, sweet buns, donuts, fresh noodles, seasoned chicken wontons, hakao, dim sum, siomay, and steamed buns. All participants received completion certificates and were able to take home the culinary creations they prepared during the workshops.

As part of its long-term strategy, YIIM has developed follow-up support initiatives, including market access facilitation through culinary bazaars and community events to help participants sell their products. Ongoing program evaluations are also conducted to refine training modules and ensure the sustainable growth of participants micro-enterprises.

This program reflects YIIM commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by promoting financial self-reliance, SDG 4 (Quality Education) through inclusive vocational learning, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through impactful multi-sector collaboration with industry leaders.
