, KEBAYORAN BARU – Pertamina’s subsidiary, PT Pertamina Training and Consulting (PTC), is holding coffee barista training.

This barista training was held at Kedai Kopi Inspirasi, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Monday (5/9/2022).

Olivia Steffina Lasut as Assistant Manager of Corporate Communication & CSR of PTC said, in this coffee barista training, her party collaborated with the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM).

“This barista training is training that is sought after because coffee is now a lifestyle for Indonesian people who like to consume coffee, so it is an opportunity for friends to study hard and practice it optimally,” Olivia told reporters.

Offline training begins with discussion and review of previous training material.

Olivia explained that the selection method was implemented to get the best candidates as beneficiaries this year by conducting pre and post tests as well as comprehensive evaluations from the trainers to the participants.

“After passing the selection stage, 8 alumni were selected and then given offline training at Kedai Kopi Inspirasi, South Jakarta,” he said.

In practice, participants are given an understanding and procedures for using manual and machine coffee equipment, explained about the origin of coffee and its types in Indonesia, as well as making latte art directly.

Apart from that, participants also received coffee shop management training including calculations for starting a business, determining the cost of product sales, sales and promotion strategies, choosing the right raw materials, and standard operating procedures (SOP) for coffee shops.

“PT Pertamina Training and Consulting supports strengthening social entrepreneurship in society. By holding advanced coffee barista training, it can provide benefits as part of efforts to recover after the Covid-19 pandemic situation and foster a spirit of recovering faster and rising stronger,” said Olivia.

“This social entrepreneurship training activity has entered its second year of implementation, after the previous year succeeded in producing more than 30 new entrepreneurs from various fields of entrepreneurial training such as coffee baristas, frozen food and hydroponics,” he concluded.
