On Thursday, October 24, 2019, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) welcomed an official delegation from the Central Jakarta and South Jakarta Probation and Parole Centers (BAPAS Jakarta Pusat and BAPAS Jakarta Selatan).

This visit served as a follow-up to YIIM’s invitation to BAPAS leadership, aimed at deepening and expanding their collaborative partnership. The primary objective centers on empowering and equipping former correctional inmates (referred to as correctional clients) with practical entrepreneurial skills to foster self-sufficiency and build brighter futures.

The meeting opened with a thorough evaluation of the vocational training programs previously completed by the clients under YIIM’s guidance, including coffee barista skills, barbering, and professional baking and culinary arts.

During the session, YIIM and BAPAS explored broader avenues for future collaboration, focusing on targeted curriculum enhancements to ensure upcoming empowerment batches operate with greater efficiency, strategic focus, and tangible community impact.

A shared ambition embedded in this dialogue is for the partnership to serve as an enduring model for client reintegration and empowerment. This endeavor directly supports BAPAS’s rehabilitation mandate while harmonizing with YIIM’s foundational mission to foster socioeconomic uplift for vulnerable, underprivileged, and marginalized individuals.
