Financial literacy and social-enterprise training for BKMM members in Bekasi

On 10 October 2023, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management delivered a Social Entrepreneurship Management and Financial Literacy Training session for members of the Mosque Majelis Ta’lim Coordination Body (BKMM) of Bekasi City, West Java.

This culminating session was designed to strengthen participants’ financial acumen and foster entrepreneurial sustainability. The program brought together over 85 women members who previously completed YIIM’s practical vocational tracks, including doll-making, frozen food manufacturing, and pastry baking.

Under the guidance of professional financial coaches, participants learned basic household and business bookkeeping separation, cash flow budgeting, profit margin calculations, emergency fund planning, and digital payment adoption.

Representatives from the Bekasi City Manpower Office attended the session, commending YIIM and Insight for providing an integrated empowerment pathway that bridges technical vocational training with sound financial governance.

This initiative directly supports SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
