Frozen Food Production Training Opens New Business Opportunities for BKMM Members in Bekasi
YIIM and Insight trained BKMM Bekasi City members to produce hygienic, commercially viable frozen foods, opening home-based culinary business opportunities for women.

The Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management organized a Frozen Food Entrepreneurship Training for dozens of homemakers and members of the Mosque Majelis Ta’lim Coordination Body (BKMM) of Bekasi City, West Java.
The program was designed to provide practical expertise in the fast-growing ready-to-cook food industry, enabling women to start independent home-based culinary businesses without disrupting family responsibilities.
Participants received intensive guidance from professional culinary chefs on selecting fresh ingredients, standardizing recipes for chicken-vegetable nuggets, fish nuggets (kaki naga), and savory dim sum, mastering steaming techniques, and applying rapid freezing methods that lock in freshness and taste.
Instructors also emphasized food safety principles, kitchen hygiene standards, airtight packaging using vacuum sealers, attractive labeling, and pre-order sales strategies through majelis ta’lim networks and social media platforms.
This initiative represents a concrete effort to strengthen family economics through women’s community empowerment, advancing SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
Inspiration Greetings!
