The Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management officially inaugurated the ‘Inspiration Bridge’ (Jembatan Inspirasi) in Taji Village, Jabung District, Malang Regency, East Java.

Taji Village, nestled on the scenic slopes of Mount Bromo, is renowned for producing premium organic Arabica coffee, highland vegetables, and fresh milk. However, for years, local farmers faced grave transportation hazards due to a fragile, dilapidated wooden footbridge crossing a deep ravine. During rainy seasons, swollen river torrents frequently severed market access completely.

Constructed with reinforced steel trusses and concrete abutments, the newly built Inspiration Bridge provides a robust, weather-proof transportation link capable of carrying motorcycles and light agricultural haulers. The bridge cuts harvest transport times by over 70%, preventing post-harvest crop damage and substantially lowering transport costs for over 200 farming families.

Head of Taji Village conveyed the community’s immense joy, emphasizing that the bridge is a lifeline that revitalizes local agriculture, enhances school access for children, and catalyzes ecotourism along the Bromo agroforestry corridor.

This infrastructure development advances SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 11: Sustainable Communities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
