Reconstruction of TK Tunas Karya Drives Educational Recovery Post-Earthquake
Reconstruction of earthquake-damaged TK Tunas Karya provides modern, earthquake-resilient classrooms and facilities for 50 early childhood pupils in Cianjur.

Following the devastating 5.6-magnitude earthquake that struck Cianjur Regency in late 2022, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) partnered with PT Insight Investments Management and the Plantation Pension Fund (DAPENBUN) to reconstruct TK Tunas Karya kindergarten in Kebun Gedeh, Cugenang District.
The earthquake severely cracked and collapsed the original school infrastructure, rendering it unsafe for instructional activities. The collaborative reconstruction project established an earthquake-resilient permanent structure featuring reinforced foundations, well-ventilated versatile classrooms, an administrative room, a mini library, a pantry, and child-friendly sanitation facilities.
Beyond physical infrastructure, the initiative provided student tables, chairs, educational play kits, and age-appropriate storybooks to restore an engaging and joyful learning environment for over 50 young children.
The principal of TK Tunas Karya expressed heartfelt appreciation, remarking that the rebuilt school not only restored educational access but also brought psychological peace of mind to parents and educators throughout the plantation community.
This initiative directly supports SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 11: Sustainable Communities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
Inspiration Greetings!
