On Thursday, June 9, 2022, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM) held an audience with the Mayor of South Jakarta and the city government officials at the South Jakarta Mayor’s Office located at Jalan Prapanca Raya No. 9, RW 01, Petogogan, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta.

On this occasion, Mr. Muhammad Toib, Sub-Coordinator for Tourism and Resilience, Maritime, and Agriculture Affairs of the South Jakarta Administrative City, attended, representing the Mayor of South Jakarta, Mr. Munjirin S.SOs, M.Si. Mr. Toib also led the audience meeting with YIIM.

Also present at the meeting were officials from the South Jakarta city government, including representatives and leaders from each institution, namely the Assistant for Economy and Development of the City Secretary; the Industry, Trade, and SMEs (KUKM) Sub-Agency; the Food Security, Maritime, and Agriculture Sub-Agency; the Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control Sub-Agency; the Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Sub-Agency; the Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-Agency; the Social Sub-Agency; the Culture Sub-Agency, the Public Works and One-Stop Integrated Services (PU PTSP) Sub-Agency, District Offices throughout South Jakarta, and the Economic Section of the City Secretary.

From the YIIM team, present were Mr. Chrisbiantoro as Chairperson of the Foundation’s Board, Dewi Astari as Secretary of the Board, Achmad Fanani Rosyidi as Program Manager, as well as alumni of social entrepreneurship training: Ari Gusti Darmawan (YIIM Barbershop Training Alumnus / Former Prisoner), Sri Suharti (YIIM Culinary Training Alumnus / Single Parent), Aries Adriyanto (YIIM Barista Training Alumnus / Friend with Physical Disabilities), and community partner Mrs. Margo as Chairperson of the National Paralympic Committee Indonesia (NPCI) Jakarta.

The event was an audience between all leaders of the South Jakarta city government and YIIM, where the forum discussed the socialization of YIIM’s profile, economic empowerment programs, particularly YIIM’s Social Entrepreneurship Training, and potential collaboration with the South Jakarta City Government’s economic empowerment programs.

This event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG No. 1 (No Poverty) and SDG No. 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The event began with an introduction and presentation of YIIM’s programs by the Chairperson of the Foundation, Mr. Chrisbiantoro:

“I am very grateful for the extraordinary welcome extended by the South Jakarta city government, with the presence of all agency officials under the city administration’s coordination. It would certainly be incomplete for YIIM, which has been established since 2014 and is domiciled in South Jakarta, not to have established good relations with the Mayor of South Jakarta. We hope this welcome marks a good beginning for YIIM and the city government to work together in helping the people of South Jakarta become more independent and prosperous through our empowerment programs. Our hope is that this audience will result in program synergy.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Muhammad Toib, as the meeting leader from the South Jakarta City Government, welcomed YIIM’s visit to the Mayor’s Office. He stated:

“Thank you to YIIM for visiting and introducing YIIM’s profile and programs. I see that YIIM’s entrepreneurship training programs align very well with the goals of the economic and development programs of the South Jakarta city government. We are also currently overseeing the Jakpreneur program, which is quite similar to YIIM’s programs, such as AC service skills training, culinary training, and others.”

YIIM is a non-profit organization founded by social and humanitarian activists, dedicated to helping people from various backgrounds. To achieve its goals, YIIM is open to all forms of cooperation, support, and donations from all parties so they can be distributed to beneficiaries in need.
