Fostering early childhood literacy and reading enthusiasm is fundamental for intellectual and character development in rural regions. Access to a dedicated, comfortable library equipped with rich educational collections is essential for cultivating a vibrant reading culture.

Dedicated to advancing rural educational infrastructure, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun / YIIM), in synergy with PT Insight Investments Management and state-owned plantation enterprise PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII (PTPN XII), held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the SDN 01 Curahtakir Library in Tempurejo District, Jember Regency, East Java, on Wednesday, 13 November 2019.

The ceremony was attended by CSR leadership from Insight, PTPN XII Kota Blater Estate managers, the principal and faculty of SDN 01 Curahtakir, school committee leaders, and YIIM representatives. The 63-square-meter library is engineered with child-friendly architectural principles, ample natural lighting, ergonomic reading spaces, and thousands of curated educational volumes.

This initiative embodies an exemplary cross-sector collaboration connecting the financial industry, state-owned enterprises, and philanthropy to democratize educational access for rural schoolchildren.

This program supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
