Youth for Climate Action Book Launch Shares Best Practices in Youth Climate Advocacy from West Java
On World Environment Day, YIIM and Insight launched a practical guidebook documenting youth-led advocacy in disaster preparedness, waste management, and climate awareness in Bandung.
On June 5, 2024, commemorating World Environment Day, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) supported by PT Insight Investments Management hosted a dissemination webinar and officially launched the book Youth for Climate Action: Good Practices in Youth Advocacy Action for Climate Change.
The event celebrated the culmination of a youth climate advocacy initiative conducted in Bandung in partnership with U-Report Indonesia and IBU Foundation. Following capacity training, selected youth organizations received seed grants of IDR 2,000,000 to execute grassroots projects focusing on disaster mitigation, waste management, and climate education.
The published book documents project milestones, advocacy strategies, and field lessons to serve as an accessible reference for youth-led environmental initiatives nationwide.
This program contributes to SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, fostering a wider, inclusive youth climate movement.
