Empowerment of Posyandu Kencana II Gandaria Through Medical Equipment and Facility Support
Supported by PT Insight Investments Management, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) delivered operational healthcare equipment and supplemental nutrition to optimize toddler and elderly health services at Posyandu Kencana II Gandaria, South Jakarta.
On Friday, October 25, 2019, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), in collaboration with Posyandu Kencana II in Gandaria Village, South Jakarta Municipality, continued its program for empowering and strengthening the Posyandu. This event was also supported by Insight as a partner with a deep concern for humanitarian and social activities.
On this occasion, YIIM symbolically, through its Chairperson, Mr. Chrisbiantoro, handed over assistance to Posyandu Kencana II in the form of 5 tables and 5 chairs, tablecloths, a digital scale, a blood pressure monitor, and a cholesterol testing device.
Taking place at RT 08 RW 12, that morning the Posyandu cadres and staff were seen promptly registering toddlers and elderly residents who came to visit the Posyandu.
The Posyandu staff handling toddlers, after registering them, proceeded to weigh and measure their height, while also providing input and information about nutritious food that should be given. Subsequently, the staff distributed a package of food and fruits.
Similarly, the Posyandu staff for elderly residents promptly checked their blood sugar and cholesterol levels as well as their body weight. Not long after, the group of the Gandaria Village Head (Lurah) and his staff arrived at the Posyandu. The Village Head expressed his appreciation to YIIM. The Village Head said, “We are greatly helped by the presence of YIIM. Hopefully this collaboration will continue, and hopefully more Posyandu can be assisted by YIIM.”
In addition, the Head of RT 08 RW 12 also conveyed his hopes: “Hopefully social activities like this will continue. We are very grateful to YIIM, and hopefully not only Posyandu can be assisted, but also the private schools in our environment, many of which face limitations.”
This event is a follow-up activity by YIIM after previously providing assistance to Posyandu in the Petogogan Village area before moving on to the Gandaria Village area.
Hopefully, YIIM’s contribution together with Insight, especially in strengthening Posyandu, can bring benefits, particularly for healthy toddlers, and improve the quality of public health for the better. Salam Inspirasi!
