Incubated Gemah Ripah Cooperative Wins Outstanding Cooperative Award in DKI Jakarta
YIIM partnered with Bogasari Baking Center to provide comprehensive baking and pastry making training for home-based food entrepreneurs and underprivileged families, supporting sustainable household business development.

From traditional soft cakes and dry pastries to artisanal breads and freshly made noodles, wheat flour-based snacks are universally loved across Indonesia. Their universal appeal and versatility make wheat flour an indispensable staple and a highly promising foundation for aspiring home culinary entrepreneurs.
As Indonesia’s premier wheat flour producer, PT Bogasari Flour Mills established the Bogasari Baking Center (BBC) to offer specialized culinary and baking masterclasses covering biscuits, breads, cakes, noodles, pasta, and traditional savory snacks tailored to the Indonesian palate. Recognizing this vast potential, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) seized a strategic social empowerment opportunity to support aspiring grassroots bakers and underprivileged individuals eager to master culinary tradecraft to generate self-employment, yet restricted by the high costs of commercial training.
This intervention directly answered enthusiastic feedback from alumni of previous YIIM vocational programs who expressed a keen desire to master professional baking. In response, YIIM partnered with Bogasari Baking Center to assess and unlock the potential of commercial baking as a sustainable gateway toward creating resilient grassroots livelihoods.
In this inaugural training phase, the curriculum centered on mastering the production of sandwich white bread (roti tawar), sweet filled buns (roti manis), and doughnuts. Participants received rigorous, hands-on instruction from expert BBC Chefs, mastering dough kneading, proofing fermentation, and precision oven baking techniques. Each session spanned 6 (six) hours to properly accommodate the delicate proofing and baking cycles. Upon completion, participants received official certificates of competence and proudly took home the savory and sweet breads they baked themselves. Beyond breadmaking, the curriculum enriched participants with competencies in crafting fresh noodles, chicken-seasoned wontons, hakao shrimp dumplings, dim sum, siomay, and steamed buns (bakpao).
The masterclass was held over 3 (three) consecutive days, hosting different cohorts daily for a total of 59 (fifty-nine) participants. Following graduation, YIIM has prepared progressive post-training initiatives, including facilitating market access through community bazaars and business expos, while maintaining continuous program evaluation to refine future curricula for sustainable grassroots entrepreneurship.
Salam Inspirasi!
