Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), in collaboration with Yayasan Baitulmaal Muamalat, through the Social Humanitarian and Religious Program supported by PT Insight Investments Management (PT Insight Investments), plays an active role in providing social humanitarian and religious support. One of these initiatives is the provision of clean water assistance through the construction of a drilled water well at Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Ibtida, Mekar Baru Village, Kopo District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. This clean water facility is urgently needed because the area is frequently affected by drought during the dry season, and the Islamic boarding school still does not have its own independent clean water facility. Daily, the students (santri) of Pesantren Miftahul Ibtida have to rely on a private well belonging to an Ustadz, which often breaks down due to age.

Pesantren Miftahul Ibtida is home to 60 santri who reside permanently, while dozens of others commute to and from their homes, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 100. With this population, the need for clean water is often not met, especially during the dry season. Therefore, the clean water well construction carried out by Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun together with Yayasan Baitulmaal Muamalat and supported by PT Insight Investments Management is expected to be the right solution to address this clean water shortage. The construction of this clean water well is also expected to benefit not only the santri, but also all members of the community living around Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Ibtida.

The clean water well construction process began on 12 November 2024 and was completed on 19 December 2024. Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun together with Yayasan Baitulmaal Muamalat and supported by PT Insight Investments Management provided clean water well assistance consisting of a water tank with its tower and water pump, a 5×3 meter latrine and washing facility (MCK), and an ablution area with 3 water taps. The maintenance of the drilled well, including the pump and electricity supply, will be the responsibility of the Islamic boarding school management.

This program supports one of the government’s three priority programs, namely superior human resources (Sumber Daya Manusia/SDM), where access to clean water and proper sanitation is a key factor in determining a person’s health quality. This program is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG no. 3 on health, which is to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, SDG no. 6 on ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all, and SDG no. 17 on partnerships for achieving the goals.

YIIM is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people from various backgrounds, founded by social and humanitarian activists. To achieve this goal, YIIM is open to all forms of cooperation, support, and donations from all parties so that they can be channeled to beneficiaries in need.
