On Saturday, March 27, 2021, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by its primary corporate partner PT Insight Investments Management, delivered educational supplies and personal hygiene health packages to students and administrators of the Darul Muqommah Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), situated on Jalan Kartika Sari, Umban Sari, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province.

The humanitarian provision comprised eco-friendly beverage tumblers, educational books, informational newsletters, annual calendars, medical masks, and bottles of hand sanitizer.

Established in 2015 on a six-hectare tract under the management of Yayasan Kurnia Rahma Hasanah, Ponpes Darul Muqommah currently educates approximately 174 students, including 134 pupils enrolled in Islamic Junior High School (Madrasah Tsanawiyah) and 40 students in Islamic Senior High School (Madrasah Aliyah). Beyond its formal scholastic curriculum, the boarding school fulfills a profound social mission by sponsoring 66 disadvantaged students (santri dhuafa) who receive comprehensive education and boarding entirely free of charge.

The socio-economic shocks of the Covid-19 pandemic severely challenged educational institutions, particularly faith-based residential boarding schools. While classroom learning continued under strict care, pervasive economic hardships threatened the institutional sustainability of the boarding school. This humanitarian intervention directly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 2: Zero Hunger.

The provisions were handed over in person by YIIM Board of Trustees member Ghufron Ilman Maliki, accompanied by YIIM Board Treasurer Satoto Biratmoko and YIIM Program Manager Achmad Fanani Rosyidi, to the Head of Darul Muqommah, Ustadz Abdul Muhid. Expressing his appreciation, Ustadz Abdul Muhid remarked, "We extend our deepest gratitude to YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management for the assistance given to our pupils. May the bond between Ponpes Darul Muqommah, YIIM, and PT Insight grow ever stronger."

"We hope that going forward, Ponpes Darul Muqommah can continue to align with YIIM and PT Insight to foster community self-reliance by strengthening pesantren economics, creating lasting socioeconomic impact," added Ustadz Abdul Muhid.

YIIM Board of Trustees member Ghufron Ilman Maliki emphasized that this meeting laid an essential foundation for long-term collaborative empowerment aimed at communal resilience.

"Economic self-sufficiency for Ponpes Darul Muqommah is critically important amid this Covid-19 pandemic. Today’s gathering is not solely about disbursing aid, but serves to align our shared synergy in developing community economic self-reliance programs," Ghufron stated.
