On December 16, 2020, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), alongside PT Insight Investments Management, once again distributed humanitarian social assistance to communities affected by Covid-19 across the Indonesian archipelago.

PT Insight Investments Management is a premier financial investment company (fund manager) located at Office 8 Building, 16th Floor Suite H SCBD Lot 28, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Kav. 52-53, Jakarta. As YIIM's primary partner, PT Insight is committed to fulfilling the ethos of "Transforming Investments Into Social Impact."

On this occasion, the aid initiative was centered in Dowongi Jaya Village, North Wasile District, East Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province.

This social assistance program harmonizes with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 2: Zero Hunger. This intervention proved vital given that the Covid-19 pandemic brought a severe domino effect on community welfare, particularly acute economic strain caused by declining consumer purchasing power.

The humanitarian aid distributed in East Halmahera consisted of 100 grocery packages for local community members from underprivileged backgrounds, low-income families, laid-off workers, micro-vendors, and smallholder farmers.

Each distributed relief package included rice, eggs, cooking oil, instant noodles, granulated sugar, milk, and vitamin supplements.

Rikoh Yudolf Hendy Debeturu, local committee coordinator, stated that this food and vitamin distribution immensely relieved the community's hardships. During this pandemic, everyone felt the impact, particularly lower-income groups whose purchasing power dropped sharply, threatening their nutritional health and immunity.

Rikoh stated: "These grocery and vitamin packages will strengthen our residents' food security and health stamina for the next one to two months. We are profoundly grateful and thankful to YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management."

Dwi Laksmi Anggita Sari (warmly known as Gita), representing PT Insight Investments Management, affirmed that nationwide social assistance aims to reach diverse communities across remote Indonesia: "We strive to manifest our spirit of transforming investments into social impact in diverse meaningful ways. Most crucially during this pandemic, our goal is to ensure people receive support, especially those in urgent need."

Meanwhile, representing YIIM's Board, Dewi Astari noted that social relief during the Covid-19 pandemic stood as one of YIIM's flagship programs.

Dewi remarked: "We fully realize that all segments of the nation must synergize and act swiftly to ease the burdens of affected communities. The most vital priority is ensuring people sustain food security and good health. We hope our assistance inspires other elements of society to step forward and support one another."

Salam Inspirasi!
