Distribution of Food Aid Packages and Traditional Weaving Equipment in South Central Timor and Kupang
Conducting a social aid roadshow, YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management distributed hundreds of food packages and delivered weaving equipment kits to support the livelihoods of traditional weavers in Timor Tengah Selatan and Kupang Regencies, NTT.

On 15 and 16 December 2020, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM) together with PT. Insight Investments Management continued its road show of distributing social assistance for communities affected by Covid across the archipelago.
This assistance is in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Number 2 on ending hunger.
Furthermore, assistance for small weaving business artisans also aligns with SDGs Number 1 on ending poverty and SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-Being.
On this occasion, YIIM and Insight distributed 92 (ninety-two) food packages and 8 (eight) equipment aid items consisting of yarn and wooden weaving looms for small weaving business artisans.
The food packages provided included rice, eggs, cooking oil, instant noodles, granulated sugar, milk, and vitamins.
The local committee coordinator, Zarniel Suria Woleka, expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by PT. Insight together with YIIM.
Zarniel stated, “During the pandemic, many people are experiencing difficulties, particularly economic difficulties due to declining purchasing power.”
“Moreover, the people here on average rely on small weaving businesses, farming, and small-scale trading, so the impact of this pandemic is certainly felt very strongly,” said Zarniel.
In addition, Zarniel also sent a video about the geographical conditions of the distribution environment; the video can be watched here.
Meanwhile, the representative from YIIM who coordinated the assistance to TTS and Kupang Regencies, Novia Seni Astriani, stated, “that this assistance aligns with the results of an assessment that involved community representatives. Thus, the recipients and the items received truly match expectations. The recipients are people who genuinely need assistance.”
The aid recipients listed as beneficiaries consist of people in the pre-prosperous category, the poor, workers affected by layoffs, small traders, and weaving artisans.
Salam Inspirasi!
