Marking the turn of the new year, on January 1, 2, and 3, 2021, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by its primary partner PT Insight Investments Management, distributed 100 packages of basic groceries, vitamins, and protective masks to residents impacted by Covid-19 across Bengkulu City and Bengkulu Regency. The distributed relief parcels included rice, eggs, instant noodles, cooking oil, granulated sugar, milk, vitamins, and protective masks.

This social distribution was prompted by the economic downturn experienced by local communities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Beneficiaries were primarily drawn from underprivileged households, informal sector workers, and single parents aged over 50 years who constitute vulnerable demographic groups.

The Social Assistance Across the Archipelago initiative serves as a tangible manifestation of YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management's empathy in counteracting the economic hardships wrought by Covid-19. Furthermore, this intervention directly aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 2: Zero Hunger, safeguarding families against food insecurity across the archipelago.

Between September and December 2020, YIIM deployed extensive humanitarian outreach spanning virtually every province of Indonesia, including Papua, Aceh, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Sumatra, West Java, Central Java, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, Gorontalo, Banten, Maluku, Bali, and Bengkulu.

To ensure accurate data gathering and smooth distribution, YIIM collaborated with the Regional Board of Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (PW Muslimat NU) of Bengkulu. During the handover, Mrs. Fatimah Yunus, representing PW Muslimat NU Bengkulu, voiced sincere gratitude to YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management: "Since the onset of the pandemic, our local economic condition has declined sharply. This support will substantially lighten the daily burden of our residents."

Dwi Laksmi Anggita Sari (Gita), representing PT Insight Investments Management, reaffirmed their institutional support: "As a tangible demonstration of our care, our assistance for communities impacted by Covid-19 remains continuous. We hope this pandemic subsides swiftly, and that all segments of our society continue to join hands in mutual solidarity to overcome Covid-19 together."

Salam Inspirasi!
