Distribution of Basic Food Aid, Vitamins, and Masks for Pandemic-Affected Families in Kendari
Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), in collaboration with PT Insight Investments Management, distributed 100 packages of food staples, vitamins, and protective masks to underprivileged families affected by Covid-19 across three districts in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi.

On December 30, 2020, to conclude their 2020 work program, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), in collaboration with PT Insight Investments Management as its primary partner, organized a humanitarian outreach event for communities affected by Covid-19, focusing on vulnerable residents of Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province.
A total of 100 basic food packages were distributed to 100 heads of households across three sub-districts in Kendari City: Abeli District, Puuwatu District, and Wua-Wua District. The packages contained essential staples including rice, eggs, instant noodles, cooking oil, granulated sugar, milk, vitamins, and protective face masks.
Beneficiaries were selected from underprivileged households, laid-off workers, informal gig laborers, and disaster survivors who faced severe economic obstacles in meeting their basic household needs due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management hoped this aid would alleviate economic burdens while encouraging communities to maintain strict health protocols and adapt to new normal routines through the provision of face masks and dietary vitamins.
In executing the distribution, YIIM partnered with a reputable local legal aid organization, Lembaga Bantuan Hukum (LBH) Kendari.
During the food handover, Anselmus AR Masiku, representing LBH Kendari, expressed profound appreciation to YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management: "These food packages are immensely beneficial for our community, where so many residents have lost jobs and face acute financial strain. May YIIM continue its mission of assisting Covid-19 affected communities across the nation. Our deepest thanks to YIIM and PT Insight."
This food distribution aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 2: Zero Hunger. Between September and December 2020, YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management dispatched food aid, vitamins, and masks across diverse regions in Indonesia, including Papua, East Nusa Tenggara, Nias Island, and beyond.
These efforts complement comprehensive Covid-19 interventions previously executed, which encompassed the distribution of 5,000 face masks, 1,000 PPE medical suits, vitamins, and cellular data allowances for educators across 13 schools in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek).
YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management remain firmly committed to mitigating the multifaceted impacts of Covid-19 by encouraging civil society participation and fostering mutual aid throughout the Indonesian archipelago.
Salam Inspirasi!
