On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by its principal partner PT Insight Investments Management (PT IIM), delivered emergency social assistance to vulnerable street children mentored by Yayasan Bina Anak Pertiwi in Jatipadang, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.

The relief provisions included rice, fresh eggs, sugar, cooking oil, milk, canned corned beef, instant noodles, children’s nutritional snacks, essential multivitamins, and household goods, with a total value of IDR 6,000,000.

Yayasan Bina Anak Pertiwi currently cares for 296 street-connected children hailing from economically disadvantaged households across the capital.

Many of these children are orphans or have lost one parent. Compelled by acute family financial distress, many have had to work on the streets as buskers or costume performers (street clowns) at traffic intersections to support their families.

Amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, these children and their caregivers faced escalating food insecurity, as public donations—the foundation’s operational lifeline—had declined sharply.

This social intervention directly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 2: Zero Hunger.

The nutritional packages were handed over in person by YIIM Board Secretary Dewi Astari to the Chairman of Yayasan Bina Anak Pertiwi, Ali Santoso. Receiving the packages, Ali expressed: "We convey our gratitude to YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management for their compassion toward our children. At present, donor contributions have declined steeply. May these gifts bring abundant blessings, and may YIIM and PT Insight continue to prosper."

Ali further shared his aspirations for the children’s long-term trajectory: "Our greatest hope is that our youths can receive vocational and entrepreneurship training, equipping them with sustainable life skills for a dignified future. We hope YIIM can partner with us in realizing this vision."

As an independent philanthropic organization, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun continually welcomes collaborative engagement and donations from all sectors. Every contribution is directed straight to vulnerable beneficiaries—including low-income families, Covid-19-impacted individuals, correctional facility inmates, and marginalized communities nationwide.

Salam Inspirasi!
