On Monday to Tuesday, June 26-27, 2023, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management, in collaboration with the Coordination Board of Majelis Taklim of the Indonesian Mosque Council (BKMM) Bekasi City, organized a social entrepreneurship training program on cooking skills using the Frozen Food technique for members of BKMM Bekasi City and pre-prosperous communities.

The training was held in 2 batches. The first batch of training took place on June 26, 2023, featuring the dishes Chicken Gordon Blue and Tofu Meatballs with 15 participants. The second batch of training was held on June 27, 2023, featuring Chicken Egg Roll and Dimsum with 15 participants. The total number of participants was 30 women, who are members of BKMM Bekasi City, consisting of 2 representatives per sub-district in Bekasi City. The training event was held at the Diah Mandiri Toys Doll Factory Hall, located at Jalan Narogong KM 11.5, RT 02/RW 08, Bantargebang Village, Bantar Gebang District, Bekasi City, from 09:00 to 12:30 WIB. The trainers for the Frozen Food cooking training were Mrs. Wanmayetti as the lead trainer and Mrs. Umaroch as the assistant trainer.

The event included an opening ceremony attended by Mr. Chrisbiantoro as the Chairperson of the YIIM Management Board, Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordinator of PT INSIGHT, Mrs. Siti as a member of the BKMM Bekasi City Management Board, and Mrs. Masyitoh as a member of the YIIM Board of Trustees.

The activity commenced with opening remarks from Mr. Chrisbiantoro, Chairperson of the YIIM Management Board. He stated, “We at YIIM, supported by our partner PT INSIGHT, are once again organizing a series of social entrepreneurship training sessions for the mothers of the majelis taklim who are members of BKMM Bekasi City. We hope that all of you mothers can gain knowledge and experience to build independence, both at the community and individual levels. May this program be beneficial to all of you.”

Then, Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan, CSR Coordinator at PT INSIGHT, conveyed on that occasion, “PT INSIGHT, in line with its tagline ‘investments to social impact’, invites the community to invest while also generating social impact. We, together with YIIM, consistently organize such activities so that CSR funds can create a real impact on community independence.”

Furthermore, Mrs. Siti, a member of the BKMM Bekasi City Management Board, stated, “Thank you to YIIM and PT INSIGHT for collaborating with BKMM Bekasi City to build a spirit of independence among our members. The Frozen Food training is part of the series of our program collaboration with YIIM and PT INSIGHT; previously, we conducted a baking training. We hope that this training can help our fellow members become more independent.”

In this event, YIIM, PT INSIGHT, and BKMM Bekasi City collaborated on a series of planned community empowerment program activities, including training on making dry and wet pastries and frozen food cooking training. In the near future, there will also be sewing and social entrepreneurship management training held throughout 2023.

This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Number 1 on eradicating poverty, Number 8 on decent work and economic growth, and Number 17 on partnerships for the goals.

As a non-profit organization, YIIM is very open to all parties who wish to support or make donations in any form. Because every donation given to YIIM will be distributed directly to the beneficiaries who are entitled to receive it.
