Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) returned to support vulnerable communities in the face of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. On June 18, 2021, YIIM joined hands with SOLA Indonesia and Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) to carry out the second phase of its humanitarian relief in Pasar Minggu District, South Jakarta, providing children’s supplementary nutrition packages containing milk, biscuits, vitamins, and protective medical masks for street children and low-income families.

This event followed the initial distribution phase previously conducted in the coastal neighborhood of Kampung Baru, Cilincing District, North Jakarta, on June 4, 2021.

This humanitarian outreach directly corresponds with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages.

In this second phase, YIIM delivered 25 children’s supplementary food packages and 150 medical masks. The aid was dedicated to street children under the mentorship of Yayasan Bina Anak Pertiwi across two focal locations in Pejaten Timur and Jatipadang urban villages, Pasar Minggu District, South Jakarta.

The nutritional food packages were funded through donations from the Community Service Division of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Psychology at Tarumanagara University (UNTAR), totaling IDR 1,970,000 (one million nine hundred seventy thousand rupiah), which purchased 80 children’s nutrition packs. Meanwhile, the protective masks were generously contributed by SOLA Indonesia from an overall donation of 350 masks.

In addition to direct handovers to the children, the assistance was presented symbolically to Ali Santoso, Head of Yayasan Bina Anak Pertiwi. During the event, he stated: “Our warmest thanks to YIIM, SOLA Indonesia, and Tarumanagara University for the solidarity extended to our children. This aid truly helps our children navigate this challenging pandemic period with better health. May we all be blessed with continued wellness.”

Chairman of the YIIM Board, Chrisbiantoro, added: “Though modest, we hope this supplementary food and protective masks help these underserved children stay healthy, nourished, and safe throughout the pandemic.”

As a non-profit organization, YIIM remains open to collaborative partnerships with donors and community stakeholders. All charitable contributions received by YIIM are distributed directly and transparently to eligible beneficiaries, including underprivileged families, pandemic-impacted populations, correctional clients, and marginalized communities.
