As part of the Gerakan Menginspirasi untuk Pemberdayaan dan Transformasi Asa (GEMPITA) Ramadhan program, the Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management provided humanitarian social assistance in the form of iftar packages, donations to orphans, free mosque AC cleaning services, and free haircuts. This program aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Number 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs Number 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

On Wednesday, March 27, 2023, at Sampan Bujana Sentra, Jl. Teuku Cik Ditiro II No.1, Gondangdia, Menteng, Central Jakarta, YIIM and PT Insight Investments held an event titled “Iftar with YIIM Alumni and Orphan Donation Assistance,” embracing the spirit of togetherness and friendship during the blessed month of Ramadhan. By inviting YIIM alumni, the event aimed to strengthen the bonds among members and build a stronger community.

The event was attended by the YIIM Board of Trustees, YIIM Board of Supervisors, YIIM alumni, as well as donors and partners. From the YIIM Board of Trustees, Chrisbiantoro attended as Chair of the Board and Riccana Rosita as Treasurer, while from the YIIM Board of Supervisors, Irfan Melayu, Mery T.P. Hutagalung and Masitoh attended.

YIIM’s partners included CT ARSA Foundation, TITAN BAKING, the Coordination Body of Mosque Taklim Councils (BKMM) of Bekasi City, Jakpreneur South Jakarta, and the South Jakarta Department of Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control (Sudin PPAPP). The event was attended by representatives of alumni from YIIM and INSIGHT’s entrepreneurship classes, including alumni from the barista class, barber class, culinary class, and makeup artistry class.

The event began with a speech by the Chair of the YIIM Board of Trustees, Chrisbiantoro, who said, “YIIM is grateful to INSIGHT as our main partner and to all other partners who continue to trust and support humanitarian programs, especially during this Ramadhan. This Berkah Ramadhan program is a routine initiative held by YIIM every year to share with others. May YIIM continue to spread goodness, provide benefits, and inspire through our programs.”

Following the speech, donations were handed over to 12 orphans from the Putra Setia Orphanage, located on Jl. Kramat Sentiong, Kramat, Senen, Central Jakarta. In addition to the donations, dolls were given, contributed by BKMM Bekasi City. The handover ceremony was conducted directly by the YIIM Board of Trustees and Board of Supervisors. On the same day, YIIM and PT Insight Investments also provided staple food packages to the Putra Setia Orphanage, containing rice, cooking oil, milk, eggs, kitchen spices, and snacks for the children.

The iftar gathering was not merely a shared meal ritual but a moment filled with the meaning of togetherness, gratitude, and reflection. YIIM alumni, as custodians of the aspirations and values upheld by the foundation, gathered to share experiences, inspiration, and support. This activity provided a platform for alumni to exchange success stories, challenges they have overcome, as well as recommendations and input for various future YIIM programs.
